Without a shed ramp, moving anything remotely heavy will prove to be extremely difficult. Constructing a shed ramp is very simple, and therefore it is definitely worth the time and effort. Plus, it will save you several hundred dollars to make your own, rather than hiring a carpenter.
Generally you will need a shed ramp because you want to ensure that the floor level of the interior of your shed is at least 6 inches higher than the ground around your shed to prevent rising damp and ensure your equipment is kept free from moisture.
The slope of your shed ramp is important to consider because after a while you may find that it can get slippery with the algae from trees, moss etc. causing the surface to become very smooth and indeed dangerous if you are driving a lawn tractor in and out.

Some of these plans are more customizable, while others are unchangeable. It is possible to find free log cabin floor plans, however good quality log cabin floor plans are few and far between and you would be well advise to make the small investment in a good set of plans which will more than pay their way in the long run with a log cabin that you will be happy to call your own and visit regularly.
There is a very good reason why the cabin log style is no longer popular. However, using log sliding on the outside of the cabin will provide the look and feel of a log cabin, but without all the problems.
