Lean To Shed
The humble lean to shed can be a simple and straightforward shed to build and it can be built quickly at little expense, sometimes from recycled lumber or even pallets. You may only need something to keep your firewood in out of the elements and seasoning or you can built a larger lean to type structure which allows your animals or livestock to shelter from the elements.
Saltbox shed
The saltbox type shed is character laden and derives from the architecture of New England from the mid 1600s.The characteristic feature of the saltbox shed follows the architecture of the American colonial influence which is the roof having unequal length sides-this leaves the saltbox type shed having one side lower than the other and is a throwback to the time of Queen Anne and her policy of taxing houses with in excess of one storey.
