Your choice of patio awnings will fall into 3 broad categories of patio awnings-
- Retractable patio awnings which can be, for ease of use, retracted and/or rolled out as the occasion demands. You have a choice of motorised retractable awnings or manually retractable and you should really consider the motorized versions if you are getting on in years or if you are not as fit as you once were. This type of awning is fitted to the side or back of your house, depending on where your patio is.
- Fixed awnings-you can also choose fixed awnings which will provide plenty of shelter from the elements but still allow you to enjoy the outdoors and fresh air without getting drenched from rain or burned by the sun. Fixed awnings can be made from a metal such as aluminium or from canvas and can be as big or as small as you wish.
