Every time, you get into your vehicle you buckle up. If you have children, they most likely have a specially designed car seat in which they travel in. So why is it that when you put your best friend in the car, he is allowed to roam freely?
Safety is not the only reason to keep your dog contained while traveling. Not all dogs like to travel. If you have a nervous puppy, he may have accidents in your vehicle. It is much easier to take a crate out of the vehicle and wash it down than to try to clean the upholstery. Crates will also help to keep your car free of pet hair and wet paws.
